Exploring the Influence of Personality Traits and Decision-Making Styles of Undergraduate Students: A Quantitative Analysis
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study explores the relationship between Big Five Personality Traits and General Decision-Making Styles (GDMS) among undergraduate students. This employs a quantitative-correlational design and data were collected from 300 students. The questionnaires utilized are the validated Big Five Inventory (BFI) and the General Decision-Making Styles Questionnaire by Scott and Bruce (1995). Regression analysis was used to analyze the data, and it was found that there is a significant relationship between the two variables. Specifically, conscientiousness was found to be related to a rational decision-making style and neuroticism leads to being prone to avoidant or dependent decision-making style.
