Informed Consent for Publication
Authors are responsible for ensuring the privacy rights of individuals involved in their research, protecting their identities throughout the manuscript, including in text and images. All personal identifiers that could reveal the identity of participants—such as names, initials, usernames, social media handles, or other identifiable information—must be removed or anonymized to protect personal data.
If authors intend to include personal information that could identify participants, written informed consent must be obtained from the individuals involved. For minors, this consent must be provided by a parent or legal guardian. Authors are required to retain documentation of all consents obtained and to confirm, upon submission, that informed consent was acquired for any identifiable data included.
In cases where information that could identify participants is discovered post-publication without the necessary informed consent, the article may be temporarily withdrawn until the content compromising participant privacy is removed or anonymized.
